Bass Chords
The bass is the lowest-pitched member of the guitar family. The Lord of the Low End. It most commonly has 4 strings tuned E-A-D-G, a whole octave down from the first four strings of guitar.
Chords aren't as common on bass, but they can be done. They can also be used as inspiration for arpeggios (playing a chord one note at a time) and walking bass lines.
But if Cliff Burton (Metallica), Flea (RHCP), and Les Claypool (Primus) can use bass chords, why can't you?
